CropCricket.com is a forum for gardeners to Trade, Buy, or Sell anything that has to do with gardening. The idea first evolved when we realized that our perennial plants required splitting every few years. As recreational gardeners we cut out a section of the perennial and tossed it into a compost bag and put it out at the curb for garbage pickup. After placing a monetary value on the perennials we threw out, we realized that a site needed to be developed for gardeners to share these valuable items.
This site not only offers people a way to share the beauty that nature has to offer inexpensively, but it also serves as an educational forum for people to become versed in the different types of plants and gardening products that are available. In addition, this site offers the beginner gardener a chance to learn what types of plants grow in local conditions. Instead of just farmers feeding cities why don't gardeners help feed cities. Share your fruits, vegetables, and plants.
This site is free and local to many major cities throughout Canada. CropCricket.com was launched in the Southern Ontario Area on April 23rd, 2010 and expansion is underway for dozens of new features.
